Circumvent Copy Protection on DVD Legal

The US Copyright office in conjunction with the Library of Congress has implemented a temporary measure that allows teacher to use software to circumvent copy protections to create educational material. This basically allows us to copy video from dvd’s to use portions of the movie in our lessons. The material must meet fair use guidelines, and you must meet fair use guidelines. We will be releasing a guide to fair use for teachers shortly.
